Sarah Palin’s PAC sued because of copyright infringement

Sarah Palin’s PAC sued over iconic 9/11 photo

NEW YORK A New Jersey-based newspaper publisher is suing Sarah Palin and her political action committee for copyright infringement over the use of an iconic Sept. 11 photograph.

A lawsuit filed Friday in Manhattan federal court by North Jersey Media Group Inc. says Palin’s SarahPAC posted a copy of the photo on its website and Facebook page without permission.

The photo depicts three New York City firefighters hoisting an American flag among the rubble at the World Trade Center after the attacks.

Arlington, Virginia-based SarahPAC did not respond to a message for comment.

The lawsuit asks the court to stop

All I have to say is it is about time that Bullshit Betty was held accountable.

Palin is finally going to get it where it hurts her the most…her wallet!! She blatantly broke the law by stamping her SarahPAC logo on that iconic 9/11 image, Ashton Kutcher should also file a lawsuit against her, as should the estate of Dr. Martin Luther King. She has shamelessly exploited all of these people over the last few weeks stamping her SarahPAC logo on their inspirational quotes for the purposes of political fundraising. She’s always using someone else for her own personal gain. It’s about time she got busted for it! Krusty probably had to double her meds after reading about Palin’s latest offense.

I think using 9/11 to raise money for yourself is about as low as it gets.

Somehow, I think Sarah will find someplace lower.

Next she will use an iconic photo of a DS child and slap her logo on it.

If the above posters are not copyright attorneys, what they write is pure hogwash. Obviously they have not seen the correspondence between NJMG & Palin’s PAC and the filed court lawsuit. IMO, Palin will come out of this just fine.

Gary Truga thinks it just peachy for SarahPac to raise money on the back of 9/11. Gary Truga think everything Sarah Palin does is just peachy.

A copy of the suit filed against Palin was posted online. She doesn’t have a leg to stand on because they asked her twice, PRIOR to suing her, to take down the pic and not use it, also asking her to remove her SarahPAC logo from the pic. Her response? Crickets! She is the one who is known for saying, “I’ll do what I want until the courts tell me I can’t” and she’s still doing the same thing over ten years later. I hope they hit her hard where it really hurts, her wallet, because that’s the only thing she cares about.

Let’s remember that this wasn’t just a case of her PAC using the photo without permission, but using it to raise money.

The whole purpose of a PAC is to raise money. If you go to SarahPAC’s website, it is filled with words like “donate,” and “contribution.”

To deny that the photo (with “” distastefully slapped on it) was used for anything but to solicit funds is patently ridiculous.
