FOXNEWS NOT PLAYIN WITH PALIN

This is news we all can get behind! Thank you Malia for posting the confirmation of a smart move by FOXNEWS! Cutting Palin loose gives them back only a small portion of credibility! But, it’s a start in the right direction!

By Malia Litman

We’ve had many clues over the past few months that Sarah Palin’s contract with Fox was not going to be renewed. As Sarah Palin weighs in on the abortion controversy through a facebook post, but no interview on Fox, I once again contacted Brian Lewis the Executive Vice President at Fox, at 212-301-3331 to attempt to confirm the status of Palin’s contract at Fox. His administrative assistant answered the phone. I explained that I was simply calling to determine the status of Sarah Palin’s contract at Fox. She transferred me to the switchboard operator. The switchboard operator would not give me her name, BUT CONFIRMED SARAH PALIN’S CONTRACT AT FOX HAS NOT BEEN RENEWED.

Uhm. I dunno. Switchboard operator? Might be a solid source, but also a supremely deniable one.

    Too little, too late.

The bigger picture is that the policies the GOP has been pushing have been detrimental, or at best neutral to most voters. The massive increase in inequality means that there are a lot more poor and lower middle class, so policies that help them and their advance, like health care and better schools, are good, while things that hinder them and their families like tax hikes and closing public schools do not. Mitt Romney, privilege blind as ever, declared the problem was that Obama was bribing people with “gifts”. AKA “enacting policies that benefit most of the nation”. He has caught considerable flak for this from Rubio and Jindal. The fact that Rubio is currently touring in Iowa, like he would be if he was going to run in 2016, and his condemning of the latest loser are entirely coincidental, I’m sure. The take of Rubio and many others is that the problem isn’t the policies, it is just the messaging. Which is condescending as all hell, thinking people are led by shiny bobbles like Sarah rather than making a decision on where their interests lie.

A massive electoral sweep like the last election, and more to the point one they didn’t see coming, means the Republicans are effectively leaderless. A number of party positions are up for grabs, and the incumbents there (e.g., RNC Chair Reince Priebus) got their clocks cleaned, meaning they are going to get tossed out. As the GOP has not done well the past few senate cycles, most of their members there are coming up against term limits for committee positions as well, leading to even more infighting.

What this means is that we have the leaderless remnants of the GOP tearing at itself madly, trying to find their way forward with the blinders of their media bubble, their base factions enraged and at each others throats, and everyone in a position to step up and fix it being taken out by everyone else who wants to run the show..

Canning Sarah is not enough. People will still point and laugh. The GOP must publicly acknowledge it´s errors.

It can start by admitting Sarah Palin is a fraud.

I’ve noticed Dems like to compare whatever Leading Republican out there to Sarah Palin! It’s completely unfair, because there has never been someone so incompetent, vindictive and utterly disconnected from reality to be picked to run for VP of this country! This should be her legacy!

The second campsite is shaded by second-growth redwood trees and
has a nice view of a small meadow. “The rule for collecting antiques and collectibles is never throw anything away,” said Miracle, “but that doesn’t mean that I’m going to sell junk items that have no value or appeal to anyone. Even with all this recognition, today Evergreen remains a privately owned, working sugar cane plantation.
