Romney Is Back In Control In Florida

Mitt Romney now leads Newt Gingrich by eight points in the volatile GOP presidential race in Florida, according to a new poll from Insider Advantage.
In another Insider Advantage poll released Monday, Gingrich, riding a wave of momentum after his resounding victory in the South Carolina primary, led Romney by eight points, 34 percent to 26 percent. Now, however, after several days in which Romney has hammered Gingrich over his consulting work for mortgage giant Freddie Mac, the former Massachusetts governor leads the former House speaker, 40 percent to 32 percent.
In addition to slamming Gingrich on Freddie Mac, Romney has sought to raise questions about Gingrich’s tenure as speaker of the House. He has called on Gingrich to release “all of the records” from the House ethics investigation of him in the 1990s. Gingrich has attempted to brush off Romney’s attacks, calling him a “desperate” candidate.
Though the super PAC supporting Gingrich, Winning Our Future, recently received a $5 million contribution from Miriam Adelson, the wife of casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, and announced a $6 million ad buy in the Sunshine State, Romney’s campaign and the super PAC supporting it, Restore Our Future, still hold a big money and advertising advantage.
Romney began ratcheting up the pressure on Gingrich during Monday’s debate in Tampa Bay. The candidates face off again on Thursday night in Jacksonville.
Insider Advantage surveyed 530 likely Florida Republican voters on Wednesday. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus four percentage points.

How come both these superpacs are quoting dogs? Wof and Ruf? Are they trying to sell us something? Doo-doo maybe?
Funny how Romney is ‘desperate’ but Newt is what, ‘smart’ in demanding tax returns from him? Newt gives me the creeps. No wonder Sarah likes him (oh, and he promised her the moon to get her to like him.) The GOP itself is pretty desperate. embracing all these thugs.

    I don´t trust him.

Mitt Romney to Jay Leno on Sarah Palin:

“She’s a remarkable, energetic, powerful figure in my party — and attractive too,” Romney said. “She’s a qualified, capable person.”

Mitt Romney came into this race head and shoulders over the rest of the GOP field, but he has really not distinguished himself. Actually I believe he has a sensitivity gap. I really wonder if he is incapable of feeling for anyone who is not rich, in his family or from his church. Not good. If Romney would just declare what he TRULY believes and owns up to the way he governed in the past there would not be all of these question marks about him. The lying to make the base happy
will always backfire on him. And Romney’s constant projecting about the President (He doesn’t understand the middle class, he’s elite, he doesn’t live in reality) just makes Mitt look a bit—crazy. He needs to buck up and stop this above it all rich man drone that everyone is jealous and no one sees reality but him.

And his pandering to Palin just shows he’d say ANYTHING at ANYTIME.
You know he thinks she’s trashy.

Of course, Gingrich is a fetid–racist, homophobic, cheater all things no self respecting person who calls themselves a Christian should ever be. Plus he
thinks illegally offering Sarah Palin a place on his cabinet suckered the fool woman in–it did. She’ll be giving tours of the White House.

Syrin–your party missed the boat with Huntsman and Buddy Roehmer.
Maybe next time. The GOP deserves non-crazy candidates.

dragonpuff, Roehmer maybe but Huntsman is just a nicer and poorer version of Romney. They are both Mormon and that means they MUST follow the directives of their church’s President and Prophet back in UT. If they do not, their immortal souls and future after life are in grave peril.
