Palin: “You kind of get your panties in a wad and you may say things that you regret later and I think that that’s what Chris Christie did”

Palin, defending Gingrich, goes after Christie

By Matt Katz

Now this could get quite entertaining. Sarah Palin, reality star, defends Newt Gingrich in a 10 p.m. interview tonight on Fox Business Network by going after Gov. Christie. She calls Christie’s statement on “Meet The Press” yesterday that Gingrich is an “embarrassment” to the Republican party a “rookie mistake.” (For the record, Palin was governor for a few months longer than Christie has been in office — then she resigned.)

“Sometimes if your candidate loses in just one state along this path…you kind of get your panties in a wad and you may say things that you regret later and I think that that’s what Chris Christie did,” Palin said, according to a transcript released ahead of time by the network.

Known for unfavorable interviews that polls show helped to tank the 2008 candidacy of her running mate, John McCain, Palin said Christie showed an inability to deal with the media, and a “lack of self-discipline.”

Palin also revitalized a story from last spring, when Christie took a helicopter to his son’s baseball game. “Some people may say, ‘Well, that sort of embarrassed your party, Chris,'” she said.

Christie’s office had no comment, but he has a press conference scheduled for tomorrow. Don’t touch that dial.

OMG.. This woman is an imbicile…Who in recent history has shown a extreme lack of self-discipline and an inability to deal with media or life for that matter? Who was sequestered and kept completely away from the media and their prying questions in 08? I do hope that Christie goes off lacking self discipline on this deranged woman.

Christie’s is right about Newt, and now that Palin defended Newt by criticizing Christie (rather than refuting what Christie said), Christie is free to criticize Palin. Considering what Christie said about Newt is true, the only “defense” is attacking the messenger.

I kind of hope Christie ignores Palin, like the Obamas ignore her no matter how much she tries to get their attention by saying nasty things about them. Wouldn’t that get her panties in a twist?

Ah, there goes Sarah with her pointed stick again.
She figures she can get those page clicks by accusing Christie
    of being . . . . . her!

Deranged woman. I would love for him to go after her, but he won’t and shouldn’t.
He shouldn’t because it only feeds her stupid nature and makes him look like an incompetent dealing with another incompetent. Linda 1961 is correct.
If you ignore her she becomes completely deranged and stops bathing and
    combing her hair.

That is the Sarah we love seeing.

I don’t love seeing anyone lose it. Why does someone like her get the fame, fortune, and chance to do good things while being a role model, squander it?

I hate that I’m embarrassed for her. Did I really work on her campaigns and believe in her vision of classiness when she refused to be negative? I used to say she was just like me– now I look at her and hope she isn’t, and hope no one else sees any similarities.

What is with her and her innuendo? I remember getting vulgar like she is when I was going through a divorce in my early 20’s, pushing boundaries, not being the lady that my parents had raised me to be, but that phase passed. Even if I wanted to, at close to the age of 50, I’d put a lid on it and go for class, and push ideas.

Does she cringe when her children say these things? Does she know that the shock people have is not cute shock, but revulsion?

Unlike you, Sarah Palin cannot grow up. From where I sit, she appears to be a twelve year old mean girl who is severely emotionally damaged.

I think she does it because she thinks it’s cute, or what Joe Sixpack would say. It’s not cute. I have a mouth like a sailor, but I even found what she said cringe-inducing. And I would not go on tv or speak to a lot of people using my potty mouth. It was not appropriate. Especially at her age.

Even though many are clearly ready to vomit at the hypocrisy Palin continually displays, A part of me is hugely thankful for the likes of her.

We must all have our examples of how NOT to behave and Palin is the perfect example. I use her to show my daughters how vulgar hypocrisy can embody a person.

Why can’t Christie say what he thinks? Are republicans no longer allowed to voice an opinion? Doesn’t that sound like a communist dictatorship? They all have to march in step?
There are plenty of sane republicans that are very worried about a Newt candidacy.
He is a liar, a hypocrite and has no values, never mind family ones. he is a time bomb. For the republicans who worked with him know how unstable he really is.
Christie is just one of the honest ones who says what others are thinking.

But Diane, Newt is the only candidate who has said, ‘there is a place in my administration for Sarah Palin.’ That statement allows him to be all of what you said, but to have ti ignored by saintly Sarah. No matter that it is a felony to publicly promise administration jobs while a candidate; Sarah and Newt have no respect for the law. He says he will override the SC, and the Constitution, and we know how Sarah flaunts rules. They are a match made in hell, and we just have to wait for the implosion. It is coming.

Sarah Palin has such class and elegance. No wonder FOX News wants her to grace their tv screens so often! A true lady!

Love your perspective! I live in the beautiful city of Wasilla,AK and Im so glad that Sarah is too busy to spend time in her alaskan home. I appreciate that you keep up with the blog and speak your mind. It’s hard find a good conservative that is so honest and willing to stand up and speak out for what they believe. Also, not always follow the Party but able to be independant in their thinking.

Palin dares to criticize what Gov. Christie said on Meet the Press when she’s never been on any show except those on Fox! It’s not because of a contract but due to the fact that other networks won’t give her a list of questions prior to the show with the promise they won’t ask anything else. Sarah is not fit to speak on any topic unless she’s briefed prior to the interview by her advisors. You can always tell when she’s learned a new phrase or word, she uses it ad nauseum whether it is pertinent or not to the topic at hand.

Other posters have the right idea, ignore her remarks about Christie and she’ll be going nuts. If there is anything that Sarah hates more than being attacked for the stupid things she has said, it’s being ignored for the stupid things she says. Sarah hates being irrelevant–why else would she allow Toad to endorse Gingrich? We all know it was her idea but she won’t admit it because if she’s wrong, she won’t want to take the blame so she let Toad endorse him and risk his political reputation. It was easy for Toad to do since he has no political reputation or at least none worth mentioning.

I’d love to see Gov. Christie go after her but he knows her well enough to see through her. She also hates that he gets to use the title of Governor credibly where Palin states she doesn’t need a title but uses the Governor title every chance she gets. If she didn’t need it or want it, Fox wouldn’t be using it to address her at every opportunity. Poor Sarah, it sucks to be irrelevant. Doesn’t it? You would know!

Christie was asked about her comments at his Town Hall today:

“I don’t have any comment about Sarah Palin,” Christie said. “At all.”

She’s still The Uninvited in New Jersey.

Sarah Palin doesn’t have anything but wadded panties – she, according to Frank Bailey and her husband, doesn’t do any housework. I believe it seeing the stained clothes and greasy hair on the failed bus tour of ‘Merika.
