Sarah Palin Is a Tease!

Even after Michele Bachmann’s win in the Iowa straw poll last weekend, Sarah Palin won’t go away. Is she really serious about running for president? As Meghan McCain sees it, not a chance.

By Meghan McCain

It’s the middle of August and we’re in the dog days of a political summer, when the Republican contenders for president are scrambling to figure out how to unseat Obama in 2012. The exaggerated importance placed on last weekend’s Ames straw poll isn’t a surprise. Michele Bachmann probably won’t be our next president, but the intense need for some sort of political news in our nonstop 24-hour cycle is to be expected. What should not be expected, however, is that six months away from the New Hampshire primary in January, the media is still spending a considerable amount of time obsessing over Sarah Palin, a woman who may or may not even be interested in a run for the White House.

She’s more than happy to stay in the spotlight, as she teases and distracts the media from the other politicians who have announced their candidacy and are actively campaigning. Her recent stop at the Iowa State Fair may have been one of her most egregious moves yet. This is coming after her “coincidental” appearance in New Hampshire just miles away from Mitt Romney, on the day he told supporters he was entering the race. As I watched on TV the nest of reporters and groupies surround Palin at the Iowa State Fair, I couldn’t help but sit back and wonder if she’s become the ultimate party crasher for the Republican Party.

    Media can’t get enough!
“I don’t think I’m stealing any spotlight,” she told reporters. “In fact, if anybody thinks I’m stealing the spotlight, go! Go find the other folks and say hello.”

Great! So she is gonna stink up the place!

In the meantime, Palin said she’s gearing up for the Alaska state fair – an event she says she can enjoy without the “woosh” of the national media attention.
“Well, you know, when I’m in Alaska we don’t have this woosh of you [the media], so I can do that at the Alaska state fair, which I’ll be doing in about a week,”

That’s such a hilarious quote… Precisely the kind of thing that some reporters are gonna wanna hang around a bit to get.

Media can’t get enough? Being involved with Palin is getting to be about as exciting as being savaged by a dead sheep. She has an absolute tin ear when it comes to gauging the public’s opinion of her antics and will not believe it when her crash and burn act is totally ignored. (Or greeted with wild applause.) As someone said recently : “She worships the ground she walks on”. Hard to think of a more fitting epitaph.

Oh no, she didn’t!! Oh Meg, you’re in trouble now! Twitter will be on fire in 5…4…3…2…1… Oh yeah, and tthe Tease will pull some kind of stunt to get in the news again. That will show that rotten, little Meghan McCain.

The “tease” did pull a stunt. She told the media where she’ll be in hopes that they will be there waiting to hang on every silly word that comes out of her mouth.

If Palin wanted to visit the Iowa Fair, she could have gone without announcing to the world where she was going. She is beginning to draw fewer and fewer and is having to attend events where people and media are already in place. The lack of attention given to the remainder of her aborted bus trip shows the media is tired of being teased.

We’ll hear for her again soon–it has been almost 3 days. That’s usually the limit she can go without abusing the public with her tweets, facebooking and news droppings/leaks.

Syrin–Did you by chance see Buddy Roemer on tv tonight? He says he’s hanging in there and he makes sense. He wants all the money out of politics. He isn’t getting much attention and it is too bad but he doesn’t have the money behind him to get the attention.. Sad but true.

Quitter Palin is going to ruin our Alaska State Fair.

If I see her there, my friends and I will let her know she it the “Worst Governor Ever”. What is Todd gonna do, threaten us with a DVD of “the undefeated”? That will go over real well. However if he passed out tickets to the movie “Game Change”, well then, we might give him the time of day…

Of course sarah is the ¨ultimate party crasher for the Republican Party¨ because she is not welcomed anymore. I have a feeling more people like Meghan will be calling the MSM out for playing sarah´s games. It is impossible to gain favorable access to sarah without pretending she is something she is not, without appearing as strange and foolish as sarah´s wigs. Or as desperate as her padded bra.

Were the results of Iowa Straw Poll another example of Palin being “Undefeated?” Think not.

We raise our children to think for themselves.
    Then they do.

I am thankful Ms. McCain is a young republican.
No weird creepy statements come from her mouth.

Back in 04 I was asking myself, what does the republican party have to attract young republicans? What will draw my older kids to thier party?
It is a fair question. Considering my oldest daughter leaned right, but felt disgusted because republicans seem to blur the line between religion and state.

My daughter listens to Megan. Reads her stuff and agrees quite often.
Thankfully, common sense political debate between daughter and mother can occur.

    I respect the younger McCain.

I think of her more as a “stalker” than a party crasher. First she started with stalking Obama, now she stalks the media and the Republican nominees.
