“Big Hair Alaska” Another Palin Related Reality Show

By Yereth Rosen

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — The Wasilla, Alaska, beauty salon credited with designing Sarah Palin’s trademark “up-do” hairstyle will be the subject of its own reality television show, “Big Hair Alaska”.

TLC, the same cable network that produced and aired “Sarah Palin’s Alaska,” has announced a two-part series about the Beehive, the salon that counts the former governor and onetime Republican vice presidential nominee as one of its devoted clients.

The wonders of hair clips

The identity of the salon was not revealed in a news release sent out last week by TLC. The release simply said the show “goes inside a busy hair salon in Wasilla, Alaska, where the personalities of the owner and her staff are as big as the hairstyles they create.”

But the Beehive, owned by Palin fan Jessica Steele, issued a Facebook post confirming that it was the subject of the TLC show.

Another Speciality-Tattooed lips

“TLC just announced their fall lineup, and we are on it!!!! Our show is called Big Hair Alaska!!!! Omg!!! It’s really happening!!!! :),” said the message, posted on Monday.

Steele was not immediately available on Tuesday for comment. However, there is already a new Facebook page called “Big Hair Alaska.”

The public is bored with the palins, so the time is right to put the peripheral characters on exhibition.

I’m not only bored but I’m more appalled than ever.. Why is she still there at all? Why is the media still asking this fraud pertinent questions? Still looking for a competent answer from this incompetent person? Why? and what does Sarah have to offer the world? From my observation it could be….Her good looks? Her intellect? I know, her articulate way of speaking… Is it her Christian family values or is it her polititcally conservative solutions?

Nothing has shocked me more about $P than learning she uses the services of a hairdresser!

Syrin, I think we are all more interested on your thoughts about this show than the announcement of the show itself.

Thanks for asking. But, I have said all I can say. I’m drowned out by every ignorant voice that supports this woman and her lack of accountability and credibility..Not knowing where or what her end game might be. When will it end? When will the ril dil, Sarah Palin be toppled? Not anytime soon, apparently. Truth matters not!
Beehive is a dump! Was a dump.. Someone had to put cash into getting it up to even reality show standards.

Sad, but there are many shops or people much more interesting in Wasilla to be subjects for a reality show. I thought a Real Housewives of Alaska would be great. Showing a wife of a sloper, wife of a fisherman, wife of a politican, wife of a musher.. something unique to Alaska ..

The picture Gryphen posted shows that it is obviously a dump. It’s like a bad cartoon.

Hey, does Sarah get a kickback for this show airing on TLC? My gut tells me she had something to do with this because who the hell is interested in Big Hair Alaska?
    Certainly not me.

I’m certain she’ll fully expect Jessica and any of em, all of em over the years to dare make a buck off her trademarked image give her her due – royalties so she can put braces on her kids – as superficial pretty smiles are about as interested as she gets in her kids / grandkids growth.

You know thats a good question. Here’s the details on the program.

The Alaska Film Production Incentive Program was created to encourage growth of the film industry in Alaska. Applicants can qualify for up to 44% in a transferable tax credit on qualified production expenditures in Alaska.
      • Begin with 30% transferable tax credit on qualified expenditures.
      • Add 10% for wages paid to Alaska residents.
      • Add 2% for expenditures in a rural community.
      • add 2% if filming between October 1 and March 30.
      What projects are eligible?
Eligible projects are broadly defined as film, documentary, commercials, and video projects. We require a minimum of $100,000 of expenditures in Alaska. We do not have salary caps, project caps or minimum requirements for principle photography days or Alaska hire for you to be eligible for the tax credit. We encourage you to hire locally and provide additional incentives when you do.
      How does the program work?
The incentive is offered in the form of a transferable tax credit for qualifying production expenditures that you make in Alaska during a consecutive 24-month period.

Is this another show that will be able to reap money from Alaska? TLC has found a goldmine up there, haven’t they? I doubt they even care if anyone watches it, they get all that money just for filming up there. Is Sarah the producer again, so that she can grift her share. Very clever of her to get that bill past that is making them all this money right now. Really makes the politicians in Alaska look as crooked as those down in the lower 48 that they have allowed this to happen and haven’t put a stop to it.
    LOL…great comment from dz!

Sarah Palin does have big hair. It is a shame there is not a big brain under the big hair. Only Sarah’s ego exceeds her big hair.

She is still riding out all of the spotlight she received from the campaign with McCain. Since this she has still started of a lot of reality tv shows and what not. It’s getting old.
