Sarah Palin is considered a ‘nine day wonder’

From International Business News

Sarah Palin is in a trendy way, whether it is glamor, charm or anything that gains grounds in today’s world. It does not undermine her candidacy for a presidential run in the United States as long as her attitude and intent to work in the best interests of the people are kept intact.

The 46-year-old has the distinction of winning the Miss Wasilla pageant and finishing third in the Miss Alaska pageant in her halcyon days. Sarah Palin of ‘today’ possesses the power of attracting average Americans, who foster faith in her charm and qualities. But her oration will not queer the pitches of President Barack Obama, who championed the ways of addressing issues such as unemployment, health care, and the economic downturn haunting the nation. Sarah Palin is only a cog in the machine, in the case of foreign policies and other setbacks in the US mind.
Her inadequate ways of handling media interviews made conservatives and scholarly minds wary of her candidacy. It doesn’t mean that her journey to the presidential chair is not going to be sealed. However, at the same time, the equation for the alluring queen to get on top is seems to be a herculean tasks from that of other candidates whose visibility is increasing day by day among American voters.

An interesting analogy from the life of the former President of the United States, Ronald Reagan, helps to place Sarah Palin in the political graph. Ronald Reagan did not become a hero overnight. He had a long and rugged political career running for several years, before he became the President of the United States at the age of 69.

In fact, Reagan was the oldest President, ever, in the office. In the early steps of his political career, he was considered to be divisive, which is similar to the assessment made today about Sarah Palin. Reagan entered into politics after 16 years of Hollywood triumph. During his political career; he made hundreds of speeches in support of the Republican presidential candidates Richard Nixon and Barry Goldwater. This helped him becoming the Governor of California in 1966 and again, in the subsequent term.

He lost to Ford in his first presidential election but the second time, around in 1980, people elected him with an overwhelming majority. The people of America had not voted Ronald Reagan as President simply for his affected charms, blended with his Hollywood background. He is remembered for strengthening America’s economy and for blowing the final whistle to the Cold War.

Considering the facts and the expectations of the voters, it is too early to compare Ronald Reagan with Sarah Palin.

Former President Ronald Reagan’s son, Ronald Jr., disagrees with any sort of comparison between his father and Sarah Palin saying she is basically a melodramatic with intentions of earning money. Besides making a serious study to know how much of truth is involved in what is being said, Sarah Palin needs to work out a plan that really makes her rich and experienced in the political arena.

The number of political scientists who think Sara Palin is ‘nine days wonder’ dramatically increases day by day. With her bounteous positives and limited shortfalls as a politician, it is not clear if Sarah Palin will be the right icon for the presidential candidature in 2012. The answer for a formidable outcome in Sarah Palin’s political career lies in seasoning her political course of action and her endurance to wait for the right moment to break in.  Certainly, Sarah Palin will have her heydays, if she has a strong enough craving to become the President of the United States of America. But reckoning her date of success lies in how soon she is going to evolve differently.

There is still a willful ignorance of who Sarah Palin is and her true credibility in this game of politics. They can’t get enough of her!

-distinction of winning the Miss Wasilla pageant… Really?

Just reading the pro-$arah forums for even a few minutes is enough to make yourself nauseous due to their inability to even begin to question her past in any way. They believe such nonsensical stories as in “Palin worked w/the Feds behind the scenes and put several corrupt Republicans in jail” or insist that she has 20 years of executive business because of her positions as Mayor, Chairman of the AO&GC, & Governor. They also think she has had several successful businesses that she ran all by herself but will agree that she might have had a “little” help from Todd. Then there is the perfect family crap, loving Mother, etc. Like I said–nauseating!

Syrin, I posted a question in a previous thread, the one on being left off the ballot in Iowa. Did you get a chance to see it or is it that you’re not aware of what I’m referring to? Thanks!

Who wrote that? It must not be by someone whose first language is English… it’s almost as word-salad-y as Sarah herself. “It doesn’t mean that her journey to the presidential chair is not going to be sealed.” ??? “average Americans… foster faith in her charm and qualities” ??? She’s a “cog in a wheel” at the same time she is an “alluring queen”!!

Sounds like it was written by a Chinese or other Asian person.

The funniest thing is that there’s a commenter complaining this piece is a “liberal rant”!!

The world has gone completely insane. It can only be understood if one realizes that the purposes of newspapers are not to inform, the purposes of schools are not to educate, the purpose of the military is not to win wars, the purposes of factories are not to employ people or to make goods of any value, etc. Just turn everything 180° upside-down and you have a chance of seeing things as they really are. Of course, then you have to walk away from society or go mad yourself.

“With her bounteous positives and limited shortfalls as a politician”
Shouldn’t that be “limited positives and bounteous shortfalls?” This is a very poorly written piece of drivel. It sounds like a high school student trying to BS his way through an English assignment.

I say whoever wrote this will soon be sending letters out about how they have
the opportunity to share $20,000,000 dollars with (whoever) because an extremely wealthy person died in a goat herding accident and named (whoever) and the letter writer as heirs. But there are problems . . . .

    Now if you’d only send your credit information. . . . .

Why are you posting anything about her? Reward her! She has been quiet since her movie flopped! She has said nothing about Oslo! Let her be for right now and tell us about something else! Maybe she just wants to be grandma!

IMO, this article is a very clear illustration of what is wrong with the MSM today. In an attempt to avoid “offending” certain individuals, journalists adamantly refuse to admit that politicians like Palin are totally unfit to serve as POTUS and refuse to inform the public, in no uncertain terms, why. This is not the role the Founders felt the press should serve in our democracy. In general, their position was that the main role of the press should be to inform the public about politicians and issues related to politics in an effort to assist them in voting in their own interests. Few journalists in the MSM today are performing this role, and I think it has much to do with the fact that they work for corporate entities whose all consuming focus is on making a profit. I can recall watching Brinkley, Murrow, and Cronkite when I was growing up. None of these reporters/journalists lacked the courage to tell Americans the truth about politicians/issues relating to politics. They treated the American citizens like adults who were capable of hearing the truth and being able to handle it, and their reporting made a difference not only in the lives of our citizens, but in the way our government operated. Their work in bringing truth to America about the Vietnam War pressured our government to end its role in the conflict and bring our troops home. The reporting being done by most journalists/TV news networks today bears little resemblance to that done by Cronkite, Brinkley, Murrow, and others in the past, and is imo, the reason millions of Americans continue to vote against their own interests. This journalist who wrote this article is leading many Americans to believe that Palin possesses “bounteous positives and limited shortfalls as a politician” when nothing is further from the truth.

This article has many shortfalls. Note there is no byline or author identification at the end of the article. It also is poorly constructed. If this had landed on the copy desk at my newspaper its next destination would have been the garbage. We didn’t even accept anonymous letters to the editor.

Thank you everyone for your patience in reading articles like this one. This article demonstrates that media does not tell the truth! But, unlike what Palin might believe the media has basically ignored the truth of her inept record! They are her best friend and she continues to rail against them!

I still find it hard to believe that people all over the world ignore that Sarah Palin ABUSED POWER as an divisive public servant, but, they just love that she was Miss Wasilla! They just love that she was a mayor of 5000 people, but, ABUSED POWER, fleeced the city coffers and left Wasilla in millions of dollars of debt.
People forget or may not realize that I’ve been dealing with this kind of willful ignorance from those who SHOULD know or recognize that Sarah Palin is an imposter, there is no good in her. This is ALL so old, already! What has Sarah said or done in the past 3 years to lead anyone to believe that she’s stable, competent and has appropriate experience to even be in politics? I mean, there was never trustworthiness, reliability, integrity, sincerity or believability in Sarah Palin ever! And there still isn’t. However, the world, the media have perpetuated her, infusing these very things into her record. Here I thought the national media getting a hold of her would have revealed what I know. But, instead it has given her a false credibility all based on mistruths, deceptions. And, the gift that the media has given Palin a personal narrative that is unrecognizable to Christian Conservative Republicans that know her and live in Wasilla like me.

I really thought that the truth would win out.. But, as you read here, it has not! However, it has been said that what MEDIA has created MEDIA can destroy

One more person agrees that this is garbage. It might have been excusable two years ago, when people were telling Palin to get her act together. By now, anyone paying attention can see that she has nothing to put together.

I agree with the suggestion that the author does not speak English as his/her first language. Who would say that someone “is in a trendy way”? This sounds like an echo of the Victorian euphemism, “in a family way.” To call someone a “nine days’ wonder” is not a compliment, although the author seems unaware of it. And “heydays,” in the plural? This is evidently an internet publication tossed together on the cheap to look slick and sell advertising.

She’s a nine days blunder, imho. She was thrust onto the world stage by an aging Presidential hopeful who thought he would have the edge with a woman on the Republican ticket. Had she been a politically astute woman, well read and knowledgeable about world/current events, and had half a brain, McCain’s gamble might have worked. As it is, it failed miserably and has had long-lasting consequences. I am convinced that she is on her way out. It’s taking a long time, but then she is going kicking and screaming. I actually applaud each new bone-head move by Palin or any of her clan. It simply shows, once again, what a bad choice she would be for any political office, ever again. Eventually the media beast will be cured of the word vomit and move onto something/someone else.

    From TWITTER
@SarahPalinUSA….Once upon a time, I could actually tell what was going on in America. But now, I just do bong hits and watch MSNBC. That seems to work best.

This woman is clearly unfit for anything but the center fold of ”High Times”!

My reply @SarahPalinUSA…. You’re an embarrassment as a woman, mother and Christian! Put that is your bong and smoke it!
