Rick Perry and Sarah Palin have been left off the Ames Straw Poll

Palin’s 60% DIS-approval rating by WE THE PEOPLE might have something to do with it.

You Betcha !

We’ll have more on this shortly, but Kay Henderson reports that Rick Perry and Sarah Palin have been left off the Ames Straw Poll ballot after a meeting of the Iowa GOP’s state central committee today:

Unannounced candidate Rick Perry will NOT be on the Straw Poll Ballot. Seven “announced” presidential candidates – Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich, Thaddeus McCotter, Ron Paul, Tim Pawlenty and Rich Santorum — will be.

The Republican Party of Iowa’s state central committee convened this morning and one of the items on the agenda is to determine the names which will be printed on the ballot for their August 13 Straw Poll in Ames, Iowa.

Last time around – in August of 2007 — former Tennessee Senator/Hollywood actor Fred Thompson was heavily hinting at the time of the Straw Poll that he would enter the race, which he did in about a month later, in September. Thompson’s name was included on the 2007 Straw Poll ballot. This year’s “heavy hinter” is Texas Governor Rick Perry and the decision facing the party this cycle is whether his name will be on the ballot, along with another potential candidate who’s performing well in national polls — Sarah Palin.

Mitt Romney and Jon Huntsman are also listed on the ballot.

Some Republicans, like conservative Steve Scheffler, had argued for including all potential candidates – including people like Rudy Giuliani – because the importance of Ames could be diminished without it.

However, not being on the ballot is not necessarily a loss for Perry, whose supporters have formed a 527 that had hoped to make a push for him at Ames, but was told they couldn’t buy space.

And her movie did even WORSE this weekend, and her tired FACEBOOK rant aimed at the President is getting no national airtime. Bye bye Sarah. You played your hand wrong, and we’re SO sorry.

Of course sarah is left out of the poll. She is not a contender, she is not welcomed, she is not newsworthy as a politician, and she is not running.

The time will come when sarah will not be welcomed to speak for FREE. Organizations will refuse to comply with her unrealistic and vain traveling expenses and security requirements.

More and more Americans are growing tired of indulging her.

Don’t you know she doesn’t need any dumb straw polls or fund raising events to win the election? She thinks all she has to do is say it and she will live in the White House with all of her friends and family.

Syrin, I have been reading reviews of The Undefeated and keep seeing b.s. about how Palin only lost her Lt. Gov. run due to a manufactured controversy at the last minute but until then, she was allegedly looking at a landslide win. Can you fill me in on what this alleged controversy was? Or is this just complete b.s., not that it would surprise me, of course.

I was re-reading Bailey’s and Dunn’s books again over the past few days and noticed something that really shocked me, even for $arah Palin. How could a woman who was selected to head up the Mayors’ Conference for all of Alaska not know what AFSCME was?? The more I learn about her past, the more surprised I am that she made it as far as she did. She is really lacking as far as education in the world around her. I’ll even go so far as to say she’s stupid, manipulative, but stupid for not learning a little bit more in order to be able to fool even more people. Don’t get me wrong. I’m thankful she was not intelligent enough or was too lazy to do so but with a little bit more education, she could have gone farther. How frightening that she made it as far as she did!

    Thanks,
    Kate

Hi Kate, Thanks for your comment.

Undefeated? Sarah’s alleged controversy was not a controversy at all!
Palin was doing exactly what she had accused Randy Ruedrich of doing. FYI, that controversy was made up for explicted purposes of getting Palin’s name in media to run a state campaign. Palin using Wasilla city money, resources like computers, printers actually Wasilla City Hall and staff to run for Lt. Gov!

She didn’t have money, she has used public funds to enrich herself and her family, this is her purpose. Buy cabins, coaches and build big houses. This woman is so full of hubris and clearly has served herself! Sarah Palin was put in to run as a VP without ANY sort of meaningful investigation into her past executive duties and how she performed those duties! Wanting to ignore her being a self involved and highly abusive half term gov. the media focuses on her being a mayor of a small town.

The sick part is relatively intelligent folks have NOT done their
homework concerning her record. She is not conservative. Everything Sarah has
done is rotten. Her accomplishments belong to others. Blind ambition
      without acheivment is dangerous.

“I’m very, very pleased to be cleared of any legal wrongdoing … any
hint of any kind of unethical activity there. Very pleased to be
cleared of any of that.” –Sarah Palin, after an Alaska legislative
report found she had broken the state’s ethics law and abused her
power in the Troopergate scandal, conference call with Alaska
      reporters, Oct. 12, 2008

Palin’s personal ethics problems and lack of integrity as a mayor along with her
unethical record as played out in headlines.

“I’m the mayor, I can do whatever I want until the courts tell me I can’t.'” –
-Sarah Palin, as quoted by former City Council Member Nick Carney,
after he raised objections about the $50,000 she spent renovating the
mayor’s office without approval of the city council

Frontiersman Editorial Criticized Cronyism and Political
      Maneuvering in City Hall.

A Frontiersman editorial wrote, “Palin promised to change the status
quo, but at every turn we find hints of cronyism and
political maneuvering. We see a woman who has long-since surrendered
      her ideals to a political
      machine.” [Frontiersman editorial, 2/7/97]

Frontiersman Editorial: Palin Doesn’t Grasp the Truth. A Frontiersman
      editorial wrote, “Mayor Palin
fails to have a firm grasp of something very simple: the truth.”
      [Frontiersman editorial, 2/7/97]

Headline: “Palin may face recall” [Frontiersman, 2/5/97]

Editorial Headline: “Mayor’s Lost Credibility” [Frontiersman, 2/7/97]

Frontiersman Editorial: Palin Assumed Her Election Was a Coronation. A

      Frontiersman editorial
wrote, “Palin seems to have assumed her election was instead a
      coronation. Welcome to Kingdom Palin,
the land of no accountability.” [Frontiersman editorial, 2/7/97] It was because of Sarah Palin that they were DEFEATED!

Thanks, Syrin. I remember the night of the RNC convention when she gave her speech. I listened with interest but she really lost me with her snarky remarks considering this was her “introduction to the world”. The comment about the community organizer was over-the-top and so condescending considering that then Senator Obama hadn’t criticized Palin, however, many others had, including Republicans. I started reading some things the other day and noticed that within a day of her being selected, the ” to it. Here was a woman who was an unknown and they expected the media to not investigate her past?? All the other players had been vetted for years, including Obama who had been vetted during his campaign from day one. If there had been a lot of dirt to find on him, Clinton would have done so. I started looking into Palin’s past that night and was horrified at what I saw. This was the woman that McCain thought was qualified to lead the country if he couldn’t fulfill his duties? She couldn’t handle her duties as Mayor and I found that out within minutes of her speech ending.

Her followers choose to remain ignorant or claim that anything negative is due to President Obama. I don’t even think she’s been on his radar for the past two and a half years because he’s had real problems to deal with other than this loud-mouthed, self-absorbed bimbo.

I wish I could read all those articles above but unfortunately the Frontiersman doesn’t have them online any longer. Thanks for filling me in on her earlier days. It’s so frustrating to see this woman climbing over people, stabbing them in the back, just to get to her ridiculously stated earlier dream of “I want to be President” after only two terms on city council. Did she obtain any further education? Of course not. That would be the expected thing to do. She thought she knew it all and she faked her way to the Governership, she figures she can do it again to the Presidency. It’s not going to happen.
