Bachmann: “They want to see two girls come together and have a mud-wrestling fight

Michele Bachmann apparently is growing weary about questions about Sarah Palin.

“They want to see two girls come together and have a mud-wrestling fight, and I’m not going to give it to them,” Bachmann said during a campaign event in Charleston, S.C., Wednesday in response to a question from the crowd.

Bachmann was speaking at a park in Daniel Island in Charleston, part of a blitz that has seen her visit the early primary states of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina this week.

At each turn, the telegenic congresswoman has faced comparisons to Palin, as both are camera-friendly conservative women with similar tea-party-infused messages. Both appeal to similar blocs of voters.

Bachmann has taken pains, as she did Wednesday, to mention her friendship with Palin. But despite Bachmann’s efforts to tamp down the idea of a rivalry, her own camp helped fashion that narrative earlier this month. In a radio interview, Bachmann advisor Ed Rollins derided Palin, saying she “isn’t a serious candidate.”

“She got the vice presidential thing handed to her,” Rollins said. “She didn’t go to work in the sense of trying to gain more substance. She gave up her governorship.” Palin’s daughter, Bristol, hyping a new memoir, got into the act Tuesday, tweaking Bachmann for adopting her mother’s “look.”

“I think she dresses a lot like my mom,” Bristol told the celebrity news site PopEater. “But a lot, a lot of women have done that the last few years. I do think it’s odd, you know, seeing people with red blazers with their hair up with glasses.”

The story said Bristol added, “I don’t know if she’s wearing glasses but you want to be hmmmm, do you think that people don’t notice you’re dressing like my mom?”

Ah, doesn’t Backman realize that a fight is exactly what Palin wants?
Palin is all about fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight… and that is about all there is to Palin, except shoplifting someone elses accomplishments…

      shoplifting someone elses accomplishments

Ain’t that the truth.. Still waiting for her REAL record of incompetence to be revealed.. How can someone make a career of 23 months of lying, abusing power, devisive and vindictive behavior? With unprecedented help from the media to either cover up and/or ignore the truth!

Of all the things brissdull could say about sooooooo many other things, she says that……Well, that just about sums up her capacity for having an original thought. Brissdull, honey, you should realllllly stop talking, no really.

    “want to see two girls”

Um, no, not really. It would be quite more important to see two
grown adult women vs two “girls” both stuck in some bizarre
arrested development teen era do anything they claim to ‘do’.

Bachmann another with a shadow-hubby running everything but the

“girls”…um, no…you are both staring hard at 60.
MichelleB, you do win that one.

Bristol really can’t be that stupid, can she? NO one has any desire to dress like her mother. One example … look at the picture of her on the red carpet in DC wearing a mis-matched suit, that has some kind of stain down the front and shoes that are fugging ugly as well as being 2 sizes too big…and her ever present fashion accesory of 2 crackberries. Who in their right mind (hint..notice that Bristol) would want to look like that EVER? I can’t tell you one thing that Bachmann has worn, that tells you she dresses sensibly and stylishly. Earth to Bristol…your mother dresses and acts like a two bit whore most of the time. NO one who wants to b taken seriously would want to look like her.

Charming, Bristol, just charming. She’s an inch deep just like her mother.

You don’t see Bachmann with a big Star of David hanging around her neck or dressed in leather on the back of a motorcycle. Bachmann has more style in her little finger than Sarah has in her whole body.

I agree with you, Mo. Sarah an IMPOSTER! Do you realize that she’s actually fabricated and re-fabricated (LIED ABOUT) her personal narrative over and over again, it’s documented. Establishing one story and changing it in speeches adding embellishments after embellishment. I mean, it’s not only me that knows the truth about Sarah anymore. Sarah isn’t an attorney, she has ran a business, she hasn’t ever given her time, requiring nothing in return. Bachmann should be proud of her personal narrative. Because I have no recollection that Palin has ever given in such a way as to be (foster parents) or visit the many senior centers, promoted a food drive. Sarah hasn’t even completed with success the most important job a woman can possible have….Raising your children!

Although, I’m not convinced that Michele Bachmann is presidental material, I believe she’s competent, responsible and genuine. Her style isn’t anymore like Palin’s than any other political woman who wears a blazer and pencil skirt

I have read Palin inflated her resume when she was running for mayor and when she applied for a job with the police department. Having worked in the corporate world, I have seen the short-skirted young gal get a job in the company and was incapable of doing the job, stabbed the other people in the back, took credit for other people’s ideas and bailed on the job for a better job before the crap hit the fan. When she gave her speech at the RNC convention in 2008, I say this type of behavior written all over her face.

Jun 29, 2011 @ 14:46:12 these grifters actually believe even now, that everything is about them!? Please! Michele Bachman is certainly not my choice but I do give her points for being her own person. There is nothing about her – not the way she dresses or what she says or does, that indicates she has a desire to be anything like palin. ugh! She is so far above that iditiot in so many ways. And those tea partiers will see that more and more. Palin has some serious dysfunction with that whole brood. Omg. trash!
