Chris Matthews on Sarah Palin: What a Moron!

With his recent comment that Sarah Palin is profoundly stupid – his words – Chris Matthews is not showing any indications of dialing back his fiery rhetoric.

The host of MSNBC’s Hardball took a shot at the half -term Alaska Governor Tuesday while discussing the presidential prospects of another Republican woman.

While talking about Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann’s shot at the 2012 GOP nod, Matthews was told by a guest analyst not to count out Sarah Palin.

He found that idea laughable, to say the least.

A Chris Matthews Pic

“I think Sarah Palin proved herself to be – I think she’s proven herself to be profoundly stupid,” Matthews said to applause on-location in Los Angeles.

“Her inability to answers the questions of Katie Couric, her inability of even now to explain if she ever reads anything… her absolute failure to begin studying and get serious about running for president,” he continued.

“She has shown no effort to doing any homework or understanding issues about the economy or science or the world. No effort and she’s running for president? I don’t believe she would be at all helpful to our republic.”

Well that leaves clears up where Chris stands. We’re not even gonna touch this.

Cue blistering Sarah Palin Twitter and Facebook response in 5 … 4 … 3 …

I agree! I don’t believe she would be at all helpful to our republic.”
However, even Matthews seems to think that ‘Only if” Palin did this, did that she’d be credible somehow. Sarah has no credibility or is she competent in something simple like oh, basic civics or the English language! Palin has proved herself to be an imposter! Simple, if this woman can not take care of her own family (Palin’s are a scandal factory) – why do people think she can take care of them?

A teeming nightmare is Sarah. But mostly she is a a scared sociopath. If not for FOX, twitter and Facebook she wouldn’t even exist. Just once I’d like to see her interviewed outside of FOX on actual policy with someone who wasn’t Barbara Walters or a morning talk show person. Sarah would wee her pants and have to go back home and seriously get drugged.

I watched that on Hardball yesterday. Loved it so much I watched again the second showing.

I think it would be the worst thing possible for our Republic. We can only imagine the hate and divisiveness that would ooze from her during the campaign. I don’t who could believe she’s at all capable or ethically responsible enough to even remotely be considered. I’m personally disgusted that she’s being brought back in the media as a possibility. Imposter is right!

I watched it twice also. I like Bill Maher and loved Matthews take on the cancer from Wallisa.

Can’t manage to see Bristol and Mommie Dearest sitting talking about the glory days while the people of Wallisa sit around. I am sure they’d turn around and say STFU.

Sarah and Bristol will spend the next decade in a Tavern in Wassllia fighting about their glory days and vying for the attention of the locals..

Because she has no intention of running for POTUS, Palin will be completely irrelevant after the 2012 elections, FOX will end their contract with her, and the public will lose interest in all things Palin.

History will ignore Palin, because Geraldine Ferraro is the first women to run on a major party national ticket as VP candidate, in 1984, and Hillary Clinton is the first woman to run for POTUS (BOTH Democratic candidates).

The way that, first George Bush and now the teabaggers are destroying the republican party, I doubt the party will exist in 10 years.

In fact Obama is what a conservative USED to be.

The right has gone so far as to devolve into sheer lunacy and it has drug the left, not to the middle, but indeed to the right of middle.

There is not a republican POTUS that would have a CHANCE in today’s republican party and there isn’t a previous republican POTUS that would abide the policies that are being presented today by the right.

Today’s republicans tout “Family Values” and Fiscal Responsibility”, NEITHER of which they portray OR poses.

All they have done since the 2010 election, across the country, is attempt to strip citizens of established rights, defund programs for the poor, (WHO USED TO BE THE MIDDLE CLASS) take that $$ and give it away to the wealthy corporations!

Either a true left wing party will emerge, or conservatives will have to completely shed this ridiculous, lunatic, “republican” party and start anew.

I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again – she WILL run. Her ego & her base of Dominionist freaks won’t allow anything else. doG help us all get through the filthiest campaigns history has ever seen. The 2012 election season is critical if we want to hold onto our country as we have known it. All citizens HAVE to stand up and shout – We don’t want what the Rethuglicans have to offer. If we don’t, we’re truly lost.

There is not just one ¨open door¨ for sarah to step through. Several doors of opportunity have been flung wide open for her and for us. We can see what is on the other side of those doors now. No one. She is hiding. In the closet? Under the bed? Behind the curtains? Who knows. Only one thing is certain:

    She is afraid.

To WakeUpAmerica. Go to the MSNBC TV website and catch the entire
video with Matthews and Bill Maher. It’s more than worth a couple clicks. The week’s videos of all the MSNBC shows stay up for several days. If you don’t have HBO on cable, you can also go to their website and watch Bill Maher’s weekly shows, for free as well!

We had 8 years of the worst POTUS ever and republicans are giving us more of the same?

She quit. She did not leave due to higher office, which she could then claim 1/2 term.
She is a liar and a quitter.

She would be a disaster and I could imagine her provoking WW3 so she could put her religious ideology into play.

The town is “Wasilla”, not “Wallisa” or “Wasslia”, as two commenters have written.

She will run because she will raise a lot of money that she can then keep for herself, after she withdraws or loses, and running will keep herself in the limelight, which she desperately needs to satisfy her enormous narcissistic ego.

Hillary finished her campaign $5M in debt. They cannot just keep the money for themselves. So it is not just a money making venture. It costs a lot and Palin just knows how to spend. I have no doubt she will frivolously and luxuriously spend money on herself as she blasts thru the states spouting hate and starting fights. She could end up majorly in debt this way.
I think running may make them more marketable afterwards. Palin has made a ton after running and quitting her day job. How long will people be interested in her? She is an outlet for hate against the first black president. Not much more than that. Her personal story did not hold up. She is an idiot and brings nothing but hate and snark to the table.

Palin may well decide to run but she doesn’t have the strength or the will to follow through. In reading Geoffrey Dunn’s book, he talks about how difficult she was to deal with despite her having been in the campaign for a little over 5 weeks at that point. She refused to do things that were on her schedule, wouldn’t allow many of the Republicans who were to introduce her at events to ride from one event to another, especially in New Hampshire, insisted on doing research on these GOP donors who had given extremely generously to the campaign, etc. To put it bluntly, she was a diva. There is no way she is going to be able to run a campaign herself with her erratic behavior and there is NOBODY who can control her despite those saying Todd can keep her in line. The campaign turned to him and his attitude was more or less along the lines of “Sarah’s always been this way, she’ll get over it and be OK later on.” That won’t work in a presidential campaign. Palin will have a difficult time getting anyone willing to work with her unless she’s willing to overpay them because they ought to know going in that they will be one in a long line of many to be hired and fired. President Obama has already gone through the rigors of a presidential campaign, knows how it works yet Palin can’t handle a negative article in the press without wanting to attack like a teenage girl with a severe inferiority complex.

She may run, but she’ll do more damage to women in politics than many of us can imagine. Palin will also set historic new lows for the antics she’ll pull and the nasty rhetoric she’ll spew. She’s out to finish the job of dividing this country, she started in 2008 and she’s determined to finish but only we can make sure her finish is nowhere near the White House. Instead, she should finish at the nearest mental institution.
