Sarah Palin Winning Social Media Race

Sarah Palin may have slipped in popularity among potential Republican presidential candidates in one poll, but she’s winning the Facebook race against her possible rivals and sits in second place on Twitter.

By John Egan
As of March 27, Palin – the former Alaska governor – had more than 2.8 million friends on Facebook and more than 462,000 followers on Twitter.

No other prospective 2012 GOP presidential contestant had more Facebook friends than Palin as of March 27. However, former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich beat Palin on Twitter by a long shot, with more than 1.3 million followers. Gingrich had nearly 120,000 friends on Facebook.

However, popularity on Facebook and Twitter doesn’t necessarily translate into popularity at the ballot box.

Writing recently on, Mark Malseed noted that a successful modern-day campaign must include “a hefty presence on social media.” However, he said it remains to be seen how important collecting lots of Facebook fans and Twitter followers will be in the GOP primary battle.

Many people follow Palin because of the idiot she is….not because they respect or believe her!

That’s the poll that should be taken: “Do you respect Sarah Palin’s behavior and/or opinions?” Or “Do you respect Sarah Palin’s parenting skills?”

I don’t believe it’s because people respect her. They probably want to read what crazy brain dead words will come out of her mouth next.

You have to take into account the fact that there are thousands of people (like me) who appear to be friends and are really there to bring her down. She, the bots, and the flying monkeys really have no clue what a conspiracy is in her supposed fan base. BWAHAHAHA!!

Well lets face it. Idiots attract idiots. They love her because they think like her. I am willing to bet they all play those games like farmville. LOL

You are a total moron. How dare you refer to others as idiots because they appreciate what others are willing to contribute? What do you contribute besides your catty little jealous pimples on life?

They aren’t friends; they’re spectators. Hard to turn away from a train wreck. Why yes, I believe I did tweet that.

I, too, have a personality on FB that is one of Palin’s FB Friends. I refrain from commenting as it’s pretty clear any sane comment is immediately scrubbed and the person making it, unfriended -and I want unfettered access to the lying, dissident traitor.

So I completely agree with WakeUpAmerica – Sarah may have the ‘numbers’ but she doesn’t necessarily have the ‘fans’. Many of us are simply spectators, patiently waiting for that one moment when she and her mouthpiece, Mansour finally and publicly implode.

That will be my special Fourth of July and I wouldn’t want to miss out by not being on her friends list 🙂

I guess I find it hard to respect the intellect of people who really do the social network thing in earnest. Do we really think that folks who sit around following tweets and retweeting or liking on Facebook are voters? *Smart* voters? Are these people going back and forth between TNR and Facebook?

Is it really any badge of honor to followed or liked by these demographics? Lucrative, certainly. Publicity-wise, absolutely. But it’s sort of like your dog liking you. Sure, your dog’s great, but does anyone really value his opinion? Is anyone really thinking, “oh, look at all the dogs who like Susie! You can tell how smart Susie is because of all the dogs who like her!” No, I don’t think they are. I think they’re thinking, “Susie has dog treats.”

My guess is that more than 70% of the people who join her FB group are strongly anti Palin. Another 25% have become disillusioned with her, which leaves approx 5% who are actually fans, however, most of even those fans don’t leave comments and probably forgot they even joined her FB group. Obama FB fans 18,912,178, enough said.

I don’t follow Newt Gingrich or Sarah Palin because I am a fan. I think they need to be monitored. And responded to.

The Ronald Reagan Library announced from NBC and Politico that the debate in May has been postponed until Sept. 14. They are waiting to see if Sarah Palin might be jump in and run for President. I hope she doesn’t run. I have found this from NBC website.

The women who post on here are utter oinking slobbering nasty pigs. No life, no brains, and conspicuously jealous. They are an embarrassment to the gender and the human race. If they are so brilliant why aren’t they accomplishing anything beyond oinking, and grunting? The most they can ‘monitor’ is their ugly mug and fat rear end in the mirror. Then again liberal empty headed filth don’t get it and never will…how repulsive they truly are.
