Sarah Palin got a little frustrated with Bill O’Reilly Friday night, telling the Fox News host not to interrupt her while she tried to explain her position on entitlement reform.
“Up here in Alaska we have the four second delay,” Palin said in the midst of a interview with O’Reilly. “So it’s not an easy exchange to try to get my point across to you if you interrupt.”
O’Reilly had been pushing Palin for specifics, but backed off a bit after that, letting her explain her support for an eventual cut-off age in current benefit levels enjoyed by retirees and a possible increase in the entirement age.
The exchange came only a few days after Fox News announced that it was booting Rick Santorum and Mike Huckabee from its list of paid contributors. Palin and Mike Huckabee remain under contract with Fox, but will presumably get cut from the network if they make moves towards a presidential run.
The topic of Palin’s status at Fox did not come up during the interview, her first since Santorum and Gingrich were cut loose by the network.
Palin said any decision by her is still “months away.”
Appearing earlier on Fox Business Network, Palin took a dig at Chris Christie when she was asked about his comment that none of the potential GOP candidates are very inspiring.
“With all due respect to Gov. Christie, you know he has no choice but to cut budgets because he’s broke, his state is broke. What courage really is, is in the face of having a surplus when you have opportunity to spend spend spend the people’s money, you still choose to reign in government to let the private sector soar. That’s real courage, and by the way that’s what I did as [governor of Alaska] when I engaged in hiring freezes and reduced earmarks by 86 percent and vetoed the largest amounts in our state’s history.”
Sarah Palin is a liar and bully- FOX News continues to let her lie!
Time to clean up Palin’s mess– Her center piece of failed legislation, Spend, Spend, Spend on a $500M giveaway and a over reaching government policy implemented by the same players who are calling to modifiy it.. Palin lies, she grew the public sector, while she also undermined the private sector in the long term by a tax increase. Palin also redistributed that windfall tax. Alaskans had to pay individual taxes on it!
The current tax system, Alaska’s Clear and Equitable Share (ACES), was pushed through by Palin in 2007. Besides being the highest tax in the world on the private sector, Palin used government as a weapon against the private sector. ACES’ system of raising the tax rate as oil prices rise. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/mar/3/alaskas-parnell-seeks-tax-cuts-for-oil-gas-firms/print/
