About 1,400 at Palin, school fundraiser in Lubbock

LUBBOCK, Texas —Half term Gov. Sarah Palin compared her home state to Texas when it comes to freedom and work ethics. Palin appeared Monday night at a fundraiser for the Lubbock Christian School, drawing about 1,400 people to the pay-to-attend event. Members of the media were not invited.

The former GOP vice presidential nominee drew praise from attendee Kristen Vander-Plas, president of the Lubbock Christian University College Republicans.

Vander-Plas told the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal that Palin said Texas and Alaska are alike because they are “good beacons of freedom” and share similar values and work ethics.

Linda Hunt of San Angelo said she believes in Palin.

Hunt welcomed what she described as Palin’s “enthusiasm, her love for America, her honesty and her core values of representing the people and not just special interests.”

Excuse me please while I go throw up. While I’m gone, someone please hand Linda Hunt a newspaper or magazine or show her how to Google “Palin Lies.”

What proof, other than one newspaper article, that she really did give this speech? If she did, who counted the attendance (remember the over inflated counting at the Beck/Palin event in DC)? The only picture shown was taken a couple of years ago.
Sorry, but I don’t believe anything said by these people without visual proof. Heck…I don’t even believe it when I see pictures…those pictures taken of Bristol/Willow/cousin were so obviously altered…and it is beyond me why they needed to do that.
They cover up and lie about every single aspect of their lives. Up is down; down is up at all times for them.

The idea that this woman has been able to be a political expert. Palin has never appeared on the Sunday political news programs, ever! She’s given a platform to write Op-Ed’s; no proof she writes them (there is proof that she doesn’t have a clue about any issue she writes about) -she does speeches; no proof of what she says, because press is not allowed to report. Well, it appears to me, she has completely been protected from the press by the press! This is stunning to me, still!

I have never heard of an interview via email-until Sarah (or whoever was acting as Sarah on that day) was allowed to literally mail in her answers. I can’t believe the “reporter” who came up with that idea still has a job. I can’t believe that emailed answers were later quoted in other outlets. What is the problem with the press where she is concerned? I just don’t get it.

I’ve read on sites that the tickets were purchased in bulk, none were individually purchased. So it’s possible that 1400 tickets were sold, but who knows how many actually attended.

Arizona is more like Texas as far as right wing nuts go. Alaska is suffering in part, from people like scary sarah who are opportunists not so much interested in a strong Alaska as they are in getting more for themselves. As for scarah pay.day.lins audience, I don’t think they read the blogs that delve into the bull crap that she tries to sell. Her approval numbers are low now and the results from all the “gates” are starting to flow. It may take a while but very few will show up to one of her speaches in the future. Think of an aging rock star addicted to the applause and showing up at a bowling alley to sing to their loyal fans. That is her future for speaking gigs. There may always be a few loyal fans for scarah, but not enough for her addiction.
Love this blog, my first time commenting here.

I agree with your thought for Palin’s future.

FREEDOM FOR HER TO SUBVERT RULE AND LAW – TO ABUSE HER POWER AND TRY TO SHUT DOWN HER OPPOSITION- WORK ETHIC IS STANDARD IN MY STATE MY EVERYONE but Sarah Palin- She was guilty of ABUSING POWER while an elected official. Is that the critera these people follow when having speakers? Sarah Palin’s past:
Multi ethics violations, Refused to honor subpoenas to be questioned… AND THAN QUIT BEFORE SHE COULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE for her UNETHICAL BEHAVIOR… However, she is NOT credible or accountable to anyone or anything to this day!!! Party, platform or person!

I am sorry Palin was in my state(TX). There are alot of good Dems in TX –and wingnuts like in every other state.

As far as TX and AZ being alike with wingnuts, TX doesn’t have open carry gun laws for the wingnuts.
