Morning Joe: AZ Response ‘Probably Ended Palin’s Political Career’

Today’s Morning Joe saw considerable consensus around the view that Sarah Palin’s response to the Arizona shootings “probably ended her political career.”
He may not be correct in his prediction, but he does have credibility on the subject. …. I sincerely hope that Americans can see that Sarah Palin lacks the temperment and intellect to ever hold public office, let alone the office of president.

I think things are getting personal for Scarborough since he has spoken out against Beck. I don’t think he likes it that his mom listens as Beck spreads hatred and fear 5 days a week, and I don’t blame him. If it was my mom, I’d feel the same way.

Scarborough seems to be one of the few conservatives who is willing to publicly say something negative about Palin. The rest of them will say something negative and walk it back before the day ends. I don’t think she’ll shrink away from running in 2012. I think she’ll rally her troops via Twitter and FB and soldier on using Pox PAC as her campaign headquarters.

Palin seems oblivious to reality. This is why I feel she’ll run. In her mind, her small contingent of adoring fans can propel her into the WH. Those of us who live in the reality-based world realize that her fans are not enough to win a national election. Unless she can devise a way to appeal to a greater number of Americans, winning in 2012 will be a very difficult task for her to accomplish.

Her political career may just be a stepping-stone to a career as a religious or cultural leader. She may be of more use as a stalking-horse for Dominianist Christianity to those who would use her.

That same thought has occurred to me as well over the past couple of days.

Sarah’s loyalist warriors already see her as Queen Ester — they have been referencing her as such for the past couple of years.

And since her hopes of becoming President have been dashed — whether she realizes it yet or not — Sarah might as well step-in as a modern day Queen Ester; she’d be a natural. Plus it would kill two-birds with 1-stone (not meant in the ‘literal’ sense):

      1) Sarah’s constant need to be surrounded by adoring fans would be fulfilled

      and

      2) her defenders, who all too often beg Sarah to lead them to the ‘promised land,’ would have their Queen Ester.

On the other hand I would prefer it if Sarah would refrain from being in the public limelight altogether. But as you and I both know, there is slim to zero chance of that happening.

Nevertheless mark my words, it would be extremely dangerous, foolhardy, irresponsible and ultimately highly regrettable to put Sarah in any kind of leadership role. IMHO.

Only problem is my bible tells me that Queen Esther brought peace to her troubled land. She also had an unselfish love for her people! What does Sarah provide? She brings chaos to our troubled land and she’s an arrogant, lying fool…

The saddest part for me is watching Palin destroy herself with her hatred and passing this hatred on to her children. God has given her FIVE children. And what has she done to raise them in any meaningful way? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. This is the greatest sin any women can commit. Taking the beautiful gift from God of five children, and then throwing them back into His face as if they were trash. There are no words.

If your children are living examples of your love and kindness, Sarah’s children show how dysfunctional their homelife must have been. From the moment I saw this woman on stage with her family, I felt there was a total lack of maternal love for those children.

I’ve been curious to hear what Mr. Levi Johnston has to say about the latest developments! Who put a muzzle on him?
