It’s about accountability. BUT The talk has to go away from Palin! She’s going to be made a martyr!
What Palin has done in this situation is what she has always done. She has taken every important issue on the conservative agenda and rendered it IRRATIONAL, ILLEGITIMATE, INCONSEQUENT, INCONSEQUENTIAL, INVALID, ILLOGICAL, UNREASONABLE, UNREASONING, UNSOUND, WEAK.. She has brought forth the wrong talking points…the wrong ideals.. which has created the wrong perception..She doesn’t really represent a conservative, let alone Christian. I’m not willing to give up my guns or that right under the law or have un neccssary legislation imposed because of this incident. Somethings can’t be changed! Like unstable and dangerous people..

I’m a registered gun owner, also. However, I want to see the loophole closed that allows gun sales at shows without the proper record-keeping.
As far as I’m concerned there is no need for an extended magazine capable of shooting up to 30 times in order to protect your personal property and loved ones in your home. Ten shots is going to work or nothing will. If extended magazines had not been available, it is very likely that the fatalities and injuries would have been far less this past Saturday in Tuscon since the shooter was taken down by those around him in his attempt to re-load.

Well until the right realizes they have a responsibility to what they say then nothing is going to be solved. You have to acknowledge your part of the promblem. Sorry Sarah needs to show her face and at least acknowledge there is a problem and she needs to tell people that she will cnange her attitude.

From Wormwood to Screwtape (CS Lewis) “On the other hand we do want, and want very much, to make men treat Christianity as a means; preferably, of course, as a means to their own advancement, but, failing that, as a means to anything-even to social justice. The thing to do is to get a man at first to value social justice as a thing which the Enemy demands, and then work him on to the stage at which he values Christianity because it may produce social justice. For the Enemy* will not be used as a convenience.”

I liked Ronald before he captured the religious. Then he used religion as a means for social justice. Alaskan politics is rife with politicians being this way. Look at ABT for these people and Snowdrift Snooki.

*The Enemy is God in The Screwtape Letters. These are demons trying to get a soul.
