“Lady Liberty and Sarah Palin are lit by the same torch,” Bachmann said

Senate candidate Joe Miller says there is a “rugged” group of people around the country who are following Alaska politics, which is part of the reason why he’s been in such high demand by the national media.

Joe Miller’s “Politicking with the Stars” stormed into Anchorage’s Dena’ina Convention Center Thursday night starring Sarah Palin, a Hollywood actress and a handful of GOP leaders.

“Alaska was born to lead America,” Palin told the crowd.

“She’s a good speaker all right,” said 22 year-old Palmer resident Pete Lampi. “She’s got charisma,” he said.

Featured player rolls went to state Sen. Fred Dyson, Alaska Republican Party Chairman Randy Ruedrich, former Lt. Gov. Loren Leman and Janine Turner — the actress from the old Alaska TV show “Northern Exposure.” The group of GOP and tea party stars who appeared via prerecorded video were 2008 Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann of Minnesota, and South Carolina’s Sen. Jim DeMint.

“Lady Liberty and Sarah Palin are lit by the same torch,” Bachmann said in her recorded speech. Palin told “Entertainment Tonight” Thursday she may run for president in 2012

It only got crazier as details continued to surface about the past behaviors of Miller, a Fairbanks Republican who bills himself as a staunch constitutional conservative.

His actions, as it turned out — filing for federal farm subsidies for land he owned in Kansas, taking advantage of a federal childcare program, utilizing a federal health insurance program — didn’t look all that conservative, and then questions arose about his personnel behaviors.

Miller, who had said repeatedly that he wanted to talk about the “issues,” found himself up against the issue no candidate really likes to talk about — the candidate himself.

So with his poll numbers falling, Miller turned to old pal Palin and a gang of others Thursday in the hopes that celebrity might at this point be a better sales tactic than substance.

“You’re not getting the truth from the lamestream media.” Palin said. And then looking towards the media scrum, she said, “You just don’t get it,” which got the one of the biggest applause lines of the night.

Miller is so qualified to be senator “are we even fit to tie his combat boots?” she asked.  By Craig Medred

Miller’s unethical and certainly dishonest behavior as it was with Palin is ignored and passed off as honorable, going against the flow. Everything and everyone associated with Sarah Palin is dishonest, disgracful and dysfunctional!!! OMG- Could it be anymore ridiculous? No!!

A star from Northern Exposure??? They’re kidding, right? I have nothing more to add until after Tuesday… Turn your eyes away America and the world, because it’s true, Alaska was born to lead the country perhaps the world as well– right off the cliff!!

Palin is either the worlds best liar, or to ignorant to understand the truth. Shame on her trying pass Miller off as a candidate to our fellow Alaskans.

You can’t make this stuff up! What disgusts me though is how the Palin-Miller bots believe that they both are the leaders we need.

Palin left her job in protest of R. Ruedrich’s unethical use of computer for the republican party and began her climb to fame.
Yet last night she championed a man that did worse. He tried to change an election by hacking into others computer to vote for himself. And then lied about it, several times.
Ans has the gall that the lame stream media doesn’t get it?
    Please.
Ask sarah what she knew and when she knew it.
Did she knowingly endorse a man that lied?
Is this the change she wants to bring to DC? Is this the type of ethical behavior that will be the tea party standard?
    Sarah, thy name is hypocrisy!

I’d really like to know why in the world Sarah Palin is investing so much time and effort (not to mention political capital) on Joe Miller. Does have something incriminating on her? Does she see this whole thing as a reflection of her own “king making” power?

Plus, “Alaska was born to lead America”??? Seriously? No offense, Alaska, but I cannot even fathom where she pulled that out of.

Palin may be lit by something, but it sure isn’t liberty and justice.
