the only thing he is saying is that obama has woke america up to the direction the democratic congress has led us,it startled us into seeing the truth of decline into socailism that we are being dragged into, america has been slapped in the face and now they are awake and fighting back…

Oh, yes, and by the way, don't forget to add that Sarah Palin encourages her minions to watch the paranoid one. Beck is like watching a male version of the Palin train wreck. I wonder when they will get the hook out on him or if they are going to let him continue with his manic behavior until someone takes his messages seriously and does some real damage.

jbodine ,you have to read snowys whole blog from the start to the end, this guy is nothing but a rageing communist, about every fifth blog he puts something in thats all most normal then he goes right back to his marxist rants,i thought the guy was just a brain dead liberal but come to find out much like obama he would like to turn humanity into a herd of animals, most of the people he quotes are socailists and when he does quote normal people he takes the ones that are completely out of context, even his ''funny little storys'' are just thinly vieled socialist parables,i don't know what they got going on in australia, but in america he would be a full fledged commie.

Do you understand how insignificant you and your word salad really is? I'm embarrassed for you guys. I keep your ugly comments as a testiment to the mental and moral decline taking over the conservative movement. A brainless breed of neocon..
Your ignorance, hatred and malice for anyone who may have a differing opinion provides nothing to the debat. In most cases others have an EDUCATED Opinion. Sometimes, I may not agree, but with most it's well thought out and expressed intelligently. You guys? Not so much….Actually, not ever…

Syrin – you are right, there is no debate with these jackals. They are uneducated, unkind, and completely brainwashed to some alternate reality. As you know, these creeps aren't Republicans. They are hanging on by the coattails in order to give some credence to their manic hatred of America, and are only using the party to further their incomprehensible goals. Unfortunately, they can't break off because they do not believe in our government structure (or understand it) and so would not even begin to know how to be an actual political party. But good 'ol conservatives aren't going to put up with these creeps forever. The party is losing credibility and begetting hatred with this fringe group, so if the group doesn't dump themselves, they are going to be dumped.I would feel sorry for them, but that time has long passed. They have chosen their path of hatred and lack of responsibility for humanity – they want something that will never come to be in a civilized society. Every single thing they do and say at this point is alienating everyone else – they do not have the smarts to do it right. If I wanted total power, I'd go look for these idiots also since they can't think for themselves and have such limited understanding of the world. Very moldable – very easy to turn into little hateful soldiers. And since they don't value education, free thinking, reason or intelligence – they are doomed to be little hateful puppets for whoever is pulling their strings for a very long time. Personally though I prefer the lighter, better side of humanity and so I'm done with these creeps in this venue. It's so disheartening to see the total waste of the human brain and flesh to be manipulated so for all the wrong reasons. I have other ways to work for my causes, and listening to spewing stupidity from these creeps over and over is no longer what I choose to do with my time.Thank you for keeping your blog going, and for working hard to spread the truth about Palin. She's a nasty person in every way I can think of – which is exactly why these fringy creeps love her so. They all completely deserve each other, but I will work to my dying breath to make sure that none of them have anything to do with choices and governance in my life or those of my family and friends. I have many ways in which to work on this. Chuckle chuckle – it's not hard to outsmart this bunch!I wish you well, and thank you again for all of your hard work. I have a lot of family in the Valley and am long overdue for a visit, so maybe I'll get to meet you and say hello with a hug!

syrup, the only point being made is that you have nothing positive to say about any conservative person or group, all you are is the fly in the ointment, the only positive comments you have to offer is for democrats, communists, socialists and other assorted america haters.palin is still a counter balance to the communist in the white house, and fox news is the only major news show trying to get the truth out there, but instead of attacking the people who are trying to bring this country to its knees, you always go after the ones who are trying to help.do you have a picture of obama on your ceiling?????????

I keep your ugly comments as a testament to the mental and moral decline taking over the conservative movementWell said, Syrin, and I think more and more mainstream Republicans are agreeing with you. They are appalled at the image these knuckle dragging Neanderthals are giving the Republican Party. They know that this is not the way to win Independents to their cause. One doesn't have to look too hard to see that Beck is paid by big business to convince enough middle class that the interests of big business are the interests of the middle class. The health care industry is a case in point. All that Beck is interested in doing is protecting their profits, so he just calls everyone trying to achieve health care reform a Communist. There are enough simple minded people out there to swallow it, thus taking up the cause of the very people who are screwing them with over priced and under performing health care insurance. One only has to look at the faithful parroting of Beck propaganda as a substitute for discussion here to see the calibre of their "thinking". All one can do is shake one's head in amazement. As P.T. Barnum so presciently said, "There's one born every minute".

Can you source this claim? I'd like to see it. I would have thought this was obvious to anyone who cared to look, however I will spell it out for you. It's called "connecting the dots", the dots being Dick Amery's "Freedom Works" which is funded by corporations to further the interests of corporations, including health care industry corporations; Freedom Works champions Tea Partys; Fox News is funded by big business advertising; Glenn Beck champions Tea Partys and throws in a good helping of "reds under the beds" for good measure. End result: health care reform is blocked and/or stifled, and profits remain sacrosanct. Eighteen thousand people continue to die each year because they have no access to health care. All "achieved" by people purporting to be good Christians.

With Beck, regardless of their actual ideology, most people are all progressive, with the exception of Tiger Woods, who appeared to make the list because he has "a Swedish-supermodel wife, a gazillion dollars, and … plays golf for a living … bastard!" In Beck's world, any American who claims to be progressive is an enemy, and any enemy is progressive, even if you're actually conservative, (intellectually speaking). If one were to tune into Beck's television show, one would likely find Beck furiously scribbling on a chalkboard, desperately trying to illustrate the elaborate progressive conspiracy to overthrow the republic. On September 22, Beck laughably denied being a "conspiracy theorist" to CBS News' Katie Couric, but the next day, he admitted his conspiracy theories sometimes make him "feel like Russell Crowe from A Beautiful Mind." No one should be surprised by Beck's behavior. As Salon's Alexander Zaitchik reported, "In his 2003 book, 'Real America,' Beck refers to himself as a borderline schizophrenic." Zaitchik also documented Beck's rise as a broadcaster, which was marked by cruel attacks and "racial hang-ups." According to Zaitchik, after a rival radio host's wife had a miscarriage, " 'Beck called her live on the air and says, "We hear you had a miscarriage," remembers Brad Miller, a former Y95 DJ and Clear Channel programmer. 'When Terry [Kelly, wife of Beck's rival] said, "Yes," Beck proceeded to joke about how Bruce [Kelly, the rival DJ] apparently can't do anything right — about he can't even have a baby.' " Racial hang ups? Vicious personal assaults? Over-the-top childishness? Sounds familiar.

My point should be burningly obvious – This is fact, not opinion.Presenting a specific strategy or blueprint for
achieving universal coverage was not within the purview of the
committee, which was charged with assessing and consolidating the
evidence about the nation's current approach to health insurance. Hypothetical scenarios are made up. Statistics (about 18,000 people) are evidence, not made up. You're claiming this number is completely fabricated, which is clearly not represented by the facts.

Where is the evidence? Read the final report which is supposed to be based on 6 prior reports. Page 46 under Decreased Life Espectancy Among Adults.
"The Committee estimates that, for the year 2000, an estimated 18,000 deaths among adults between ages 24 and 64 could be attributed to lack of coverage."
Read the report. It is a cost document, and a political document presenting an argument for a political outcome.
You are hung up on the word "hypothetical". For you I will recind it and replace it with theroretical. I found no coroner reports in the Report listing the cause of death as "lack of insurance". All conclusions of the report are opinions of statistics, not statistics representing fact. Example; Joe died. He had no insurance. Joe is now a statistic in the column of uninsured and dead. How you use that statistic in adovacting for a political outcome, does not change the facts surrounding the statistic.
