Newt- You didn’t mention Sarah Palin

A lot of folks thought Sarah would run for our Senator Lisa Murkowski's senate seat. But when that was taken seriously by the Republican powerbrokers, they made sure Lisa got a "power" status, and that has taken the wind out of Pain's sails. No Senate run, because Sarah would lose.
It is now doubtful that she could run and win a secord term (GOD Forbid) the Gov race. And, if she lost either the senate or gov race, it should be over for someone who has a conscience and/or shame.
And Newt Gingrich had a few things to say about Sarah in Christianity Today recently:
"Who do you see as the emerging leaders in the Republican Party: Bobby Jindal, Sarah Palin?
Bobby Jindal is certainly brilliant and has a great future. Tim Pawlenty has a great future. There are a lot of people who are terrific. The fact is, I think that you can look at [governer of South Carolina] Mark Sanford, Paul Ryan in the House, [California congressman] Kevin McCarthy, or Eric Cantor [in the House]. I just think we're likely to have a dramatic resurgence. We have two great candidates in Ohio, John Kasich for governor and Rob Portman for the Senate, who are likely to be very, very effective.

Do you see any women emerging in the GOP leadership?
I would start, frankly, with Linda Lingle in Hawaii, who was a terrific governor who got re-elected in very difficult circumstances. You have Kay Bailey Hutchinson running for the governorship of Texas. If she wins that, she will automatically be a national figure because she'll be the governor of the second largest state.

You didn't mention Sarah Palin.
Sarah Palin is quite the fundraiser, has an obvious role if she wants it. The question for her has to be, is she and her family willing to continue to put her private family life woes on display and go through another couple of years of the kind of media coverage that they currently get? Is she willing to do the kind of intellectual development of national issues and development of a national profile that would be required? She is a celebrity in her own right, not always translating into a public servant. She is probably the most recognizable figure in the party right now. I think to go from there to becoming a national leader would take a significant amount of work."
Of course the cult status of Sarah by the L48, should not be underestimated. All one has to do is read the C4P blog to see how facts are twisted. The Palinistas can not take criticism. This came out loud and clear last night at a birthday party. In a small group, the topic of Sarah came up and it was mentioned how bad the MSM is treating her and how AK loves her. I mentioned that the people in AK are "loving" her less, and that was met with an icy glare. Then she went on and said that because Sarah was a woman, that the MSM and pundits are after her. I asked if she had those same thoughts when Hillary was still in the Primary race, and she said "that was different" and another icy glare. I asked her if she knew anything about what is going on in AK, ie, the Legislature budget problems, the Juneau Senate problem, and other things. More icy glares as that didn't fit her image of Sarah as a Goddess. As with all cults, the Truth is hard to get them to see. So even though the Republican powerbrokers realize Sarah is "empty" "perverse", the cult status, wingnuts could cause them, and the country, trouble. Look up for your redemption draws nigh… (REDEMPTION: It ain't Sarah)

    YES for Christ
I've been serving the Lord Jesus ministering to the satanist and witches (wicca religion) and cultists the truth of Christ, for almost 20 years. I have been prepared for such a time as this. I've been trained and I'm led by my Master, I don't serve two masters, I have only one, Jesus Christ. Sarah Palin plays apart in these times, but, I'm sure it's not a good one.
